How to get Hibernate button instead of Standby in Turnoff menu

<
There are 3 simple steps to change your standby to hibernate but before we change let we know what is the difference between standby and hibernate shortly

Standby: In Standby mode, power is saved by shutting down the hard drives, fans and monitors. These are high power consumption devices. The computer still uses power to save the data in memory, so you can restart very quickly (however, if power goes off while in this state, the data in memory will be lost).

Hibernate: In Hibernate mode, XP saves the data in memory to the hard disk. Then the power is cut off completely, so this preserves more battery life. When you restart, it takes a little longer because the data saved on the disk must be restored to memory. Of course, this method uses disk space to store the memory data.

Know we see how to change:

Step 1: Go to start ->Turnoff Computer and when System shows turnoff computer menu there press shift then the standby automatically changes to hibernate. If it does not work you need to enable your hibernate option (follow step 2)

Step 2: Go to Start ->Settings->Control panel-> Power Options then power options properties window opens there select Hibernate tab as shown below

Step 3: There Check Enable hibernation option and repeat Step 1

Shutdown Your PC within 3 sec Using Task Manager

<

There is even an other way to shut down your PC in 5 seconds. It has nothing to do with registry and is very simple as it uses the inbuilt task manager.

  • Open the Windows Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DELETE

  • Click on the "Shut Down" tab and the options will open up as shown in the screenshot above.

  • Now hold the CTRL key and click on "Turn Off".
Your computer will shutdown abruptly in just 5 seconds. This trick is fully harmless, provided you save all the open files and close down other applications. So you can use this, whenever you want to shut down your computer quickly.

  • Click Start, Run and type control schedtasks
  • Double-click Add Scheduled Task. The Scheduled Task Wizard starts.
  • Click Next.

  • Under Click the program you want Windows to run, click Browse.

  • In the Select Program to Schedule dialog box, locate the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder, locate and click the Shutdown.exe file, and then click Open.
  • Under Perform this task, specify a name for the task and how frequently you want this task to run, and then click Next.

  • Click to select the Open advanced properties for this task when I click Finish check box, and then click Finish.
  • Click the Task tab. In the Run box, specify any additional parameters that you want to use with Shutdown.exe. Click OK.
Important: In the 10th step, you need to add the parameters for the Shutdown.exe command. To immediately shutdown the system (0 second timeout), the command-line would be:

shutdown.exe -s -t 00
To reboot the system immediately, this command:
shutdown.exe -r -t 00
For additional help, type Shutdown /? at the Command Prompt. Scheduling the Shutdown.exe without any parameters will not help. It will just execute with a exit code 0 (success)
